Portal Partnerships

The Research Catalogue (RC) is the leading international platform for disseminating and presenting artistic research outcomes. Operated by the Society for Artistic Research (SAR), it provides an online, open-access, rich media platform designed specifically for artistic and practice-based research, and educational purposes. More than forty Higher Educational Institutions have decided to become RC Portal Partner with SAR. Why? For artistic research, the mode of presentation of research results is essential, and traditional formats for research documentation are not designed for this field of research.

As Portal Partners, institutions are partners in the joint development of the RC. They also enjoy a much wider range of benefits and privileges, including:

  • Exclusive institutional repositories and archives, hosted in an international artistic research context with guaranteed long-term storage
  • A platform to publish online rich media journals that has been thoroughly tested and is used by a number of journals.
  • Innovative teaching and learning solutions that allow for seamless supervision and examination within the RC, enhancing efficiency and convenience for all involved.
  • A research management module for handling research funding applications within a closed portal. This module includes assessment, decision-making and storage.
  • An extension to facilitate the submission of applications for PhD and study programmes allowing for the inclusion of rich media.
